What Can I Do For You?

by Dan Gheesling

dan-gheesling-finger-pointBetween writing my final post on “The Funeral” and the completion of my Big Brother 14 Audio Commentary, it’s safe to say you won’t see me blogging about Big Brother 14 anymore.

(The masses can rejoice now ;) .)

As much as I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my Big Brother 14 experience and opinions with you it is now time for me to move on. :)

Now this doesn’t mean the end of the blog, it just means the focus of the blog is going to shift, and I want you have a big hand in where the blog is going to shift to.

Now What?

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking, planning, and white-boarding as to where this blog is going to go. I’ve loosely drawn a framework of content into four categories:

  • Coaching (Motivation, Success Stories, Influencing)
  • Gaming (Games I’m playing, Updates, Live Streaming)
  • Reality TV (Thoughts On Other Shows)
  • My Life (Stories, Things I’m Doing, Books I’m Reading, Entrepreneurial Stuff, Etc)

When I sat down to really think about things, this is essentially how my everyday life is divided.

  • Coaching is my life’s work.
  • Gaming is what I love to do for fun.
  • Reality TV has been a huge part of my life.
  • My Life is everything else. ;)

This is the direction that the blog is going to be heading!

No matter how you found me it’s my goal to continue to provide value to you through this blog, but I need your help.

How You Get Involved

Now of course I am going to post blogs that seem natural to me, but the ultimate goal is to write blogs that you want to read. The only way for me to write about what you want, is for you to tell me.

Take a quick second and let me know what you want to read on this blog by filling out this simple form.

You can also leave your thoughts below in the comments. :)

What’s Up In 2013?

Outside of updating this blog in the upcoming New Year, here is a quick update on what else is going on in 2013.

More Reality TV Casting Help

More frequent content and podcast updates to HowToGetOnRealityTV.net.

I’m excited about having some featured guests on the Podcast, more video updates, Spreecasts, and also the Q2 release of How To Get On Reality TV: The Online Video Course.

More Live Game Streaming

With as much fun as we are having on Twitch.TV (thanks to @djWHEAT) look for more live game streaming in 2013. A quick thanks to my buddy Brian Wagner and everyone else who has joined in watching us construct #TheChateau in Minecraft.

More Speaking / Events / Meetups

Dan-Gheesling-Speaking-EventsIn 2013 you’ll see a little more of me around your neck of the woods.

Dan-Gheesling-CanadaIn mid-January I’ll be doing my first Canadian event in Sault Ste. Marie (you can get tickets here).

In February I’ll be in the Chicago area speaking at a college (more details later).

In addition to these events, I’m also going to be having some informal meetups when I’m on the road so we can connect!

Keep an eye on Twitter and the new Calendar to see where I’ll be in 2013.

More Coaching

Look for more updates regarding client success stories.

It is funny how much I have been inspired by the people I have been coaching.

When I started coaching people individually this year, I never thought I would gain so much inspiration from the growth of my clients in such a short period of time.

I’m going to start sharing these stories with you, in hopes that it will also do the same for you as it has done for me.

More Books

Now that How A Normal Guy Got Cast on Reality TV is on paperback, Punch It In is next to follow (look for it in 2 weeks).

After Punch It In is converted to paperback, How To Get On Reality TV: The Complete Step By Step Guide will be next.

Punch-It-In-Dan-GheeslingLook for the Guide to be available on paperback in Q2 2013.

Also in 2013 I’m excited to announce I’ll be writing another book, I think you guys will really enjoy this one. :)

Thanks To Those Who Stick Around

Dan-Gheesling-ChristmasTo everyone who decides to stick around the blog and keep up with what is going on, thank you in advance.

And for those of you who enjoyed the long summer and are departing after this blog, thanks for your support.

As always, with the blog, Facebook, Twitter, or anything else I do, I am always striving to provide value to you, and that won’t change in the upcoming year.

Having you be a part of the team is a privilege, not a right. I don’t take the fact you choose to follow me for granted, so I’m always striving to do better.

Best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Take care,

    Hey Dan,

I love Big Brother like you do. But, I watch it then it’s over. I want to hear about you.
Your Life, Your Coaching, and the gaming, The Chateau, has been fun. I blog while I listen sometimes..
You guys are background entertainment LOL

I am VERY excited to hear about this Coaching you’re doing! I am so proud of you for doing this and I just know you are a perfect person for this job. Every blog post I put out I always add a paragraph at the bottm and tell everyone about you and your site, your Coaching, books, and motivational blog posts.
I LOVE hearing about your life and stuff most of all.

Dan, you have taught me more than you will ever know and not just since you have been blogging….
I mean over the past 4 years. Dan, I have followed you because I genuinely listened, got to know, like and respect you . Of course, over the past 4 years, I have learned even more.
One thing I did learn is…..I was right LOL
After 4 years I think I can safely say that :)

Hey Dan, I would write more but my face is numb and I’m drooling on my keyboard (not really LOL ) 2 hrs. in the dentist chair, so I’m beat….. and my face hurts… :(

Just know, I can’t wait to see what you are going to be doing.
    Always in your Corner,
    Coll (ouch) :(
