Dan’s New Book.
Right before Dan went into BB sequester he put the finishing touches on his latest book, PUNCH IT IN. And I really mean right before….he emailed me the final version from LAX!
We are days away from the book being done, so I wanted to give you a little preview of what you are in store for. Here is a sample from the introduction to PUNCH IT IN.
PUNCH IT IN.
The words PUNCH IT IN are used to motivate a football team on the brink of reaching their biggest success. In football, the most difficult of times are when you are at the one-yard line. The crowd gets louder—the defense gets tougher—the ball is always harder to protect. It is in this small one-yard space where you truly find out how to be successful and what you are made of.
Coaches will spend countless hours with their teams in practice working on goal-line situations. Repetition after repetition will take place in practice running offensive plays from the one-yard line. When you watch a football game, it is always apparent what team spends more time in practice working on goal-line situations.
Some teams come out and always run the exact same plays every time they reach the goal-line. They are so predictable that everyone watching in the stands knows exactly what pass-play or run-play is going to be called. The team will break down from a lack of confidence, missed assignment, or inability to handle the self-imposed pressure. As a result, their runs get stuffed and their passes are always incomplete. These teams prefer to be 10 or 20 yards away from the goal-line because they think they don’t have what it takes to be successful.
Every once in a while you will see a team that is always bringing something new to their goal-line offense. It’s almost as if they get better every single time they enter the pressure-packed goal-line. Fun to watch, exciting, and always effective these scoring machine offenses flourish near the goal-line because they prepare for it.
There is a goal-line in our everyday lives and most of the time we don’t even recognize it when it’s right in front of our faces. We don’t even know it is there, but it is.
The purpose of this book is to help not only set and recognize your own goal-line, but how to cross it and score big every single time. If you stick with this book, you will view things in your life very differently and become less and less like the team who is afraid of the goal-line and more like the team who will PUNCH IT IN!
Dan’s book PUNCH IT IN will be released right HERE, THIS Wednesday, July 25!
