Photos from Pittsburgh

Dan-Gheesling-RMU (6)Earlier this week I had the pleasure of speaking to students at Robert Morris University.

Robert Morris University brought me to campus to help their students become better leaders, so the sole focus of the speech was centered around physical ACTIONS they could do that would help them become better leaders.

One of the things it is difficult to get a feel for when speaking to college students is, if  the speech really impacts them.  My preparation before giving a speech is always the same, I put everything I can into it, but after, I always wonder how the message impacted the students.

It is always great to get feedback from the school administrators that decided to bring me to campus, but the students are the people I’m trying to make an impact. So when I received this e-mail, it meant a lot:

Actually knowing that the speech impacted at least one student means a lot to me. Most of the time my experience on Big Brother is what gets me in the door to speak at Universities, which I am extremely grateful for, but the fact the students are learning something positive that is unrelated to Big Brother is really encouraging.

Pittsburgh Meetup

While in Pittsburgh we also had a Meetup at Lot 17 in the city!

There was a great turnout and it was the first time I’ve watched an actual episode of Big Brother at a Meetup. A big thank you to everyone who made it out to the Meetup, I hope you guys all had a great time.

Here are photos from the Meetup:

This Weekend

This weekend (Friday/Saturday) I’ll be returning to Rider University in New Jersey to speak with their Freshmen students.

There is no NJ meetup planned because we just had one a few months ago when I last spoke at Rider U. I’ll be staying near Philly so if you see me say hello!

Have a great weekend guys!
